This basic tutorial will help you to setup your Iphone (firmware V3+) to work with ActiveSync for smartermail

First, make sure you have enabled activesync in Smartermail Enterprise. If you do not have access to do this, contact your hosting company to do this, there likely will be a charge for this.

If you do not have active Sync, find a Hosting Provider that allows this feature.

On your Iphone go to settings > mail > setup

Choose MS Exchange, enter all your details including your email address, mail server address and passwords etc.

The next step will check your server has activesync enabled for your account.

The Iphone will then finish the configuration for you.

You can configure your iphone to sync via Push, Mail, Contacts & Calandars. This is a superb feature and I would recommend using this over IMAP/POP etc on your iphone.
