Just as in the case of any other service, you have to check what you get under the service plan. In the case of Web hosting, you should look at:
• The amount of disk space you get to store your files and databases
• The volume of data that can be transmitted over the Web per month; this determines how many pages can be accessed and how many times; each time a visitor views a page on your site, data is transmitted over the Web
• The number of domains you can host under a single plan; this need not be a single domain which might use only a small portion of your entitlements of disk space and data bandwidth
• The type of applications you can work with, e.g. Windows hosting easily allows working with FrontPage, MS SQL and Access which you might already be familiar with
• The ease of using the interface for managing your uploads, editing and deleting uploaded pages and doing other website management tasks
You can then check which website hosting plan meets your requirements.
