What is Web Hosting?

Web Hosting is the term for the physical 'hosting' of a web site, or where the files physically are placed or uploaded so that they are accessible to anyone across the globe over the Internet'.
Generally, a web hosting company will 'host' a web site on their servers (usually for a specified fee).
