What is reseller web hosting?

Reseller web hosting: You can buy online space and then resell it. This kind of web hosting is called reseller web hosting. Reseller web hosting can be done in two ways:

1) Start immediately. Be a host yourself. Buy online space and resell it. Now, you are the acting web host. As a web host you have to market your space and handle customer’s problems. The customer calls you and not the company in case of any technical problems.

2) Go and buy web space in bulk and bandwidth along with it. Make your own reseller packages and resell it. A reseller package should have specifications like the name of the package, space allotted, number of email accounts, mailing lists and bandwidth limits. Here, you are only responsible for interfacing with the customer base. Any technical problem related to hardware, software or connectivity is resolved by the web host company. Remember to check if the web host is available 24/7 in case of an urgent technical question.

Before starting out, do some research about what you want to achieve and the available options you can get.
